So what should have been a nice ride up OR-224 turned epic when “Our Electronic Overlords” (aka the GPS) decided it would be much more fun to take me to the Ripplebrook Store via a series of fire roads starting up above Government Camp. Let’s just say I followed their directions until a snowplow would have been required to make any more forward progress. The GPS then steadfastly refused to find any route whatsoever to OR-224 so I had to do it the old fashioned way (using a map).
